Safeguarding your rights
Fynit.net the UK business directory and online shopping mall is part of the web development firm Netdaze. The privacy of our users is important to us and we take care to safeguard it. This policy explains how we use your business, organisation or personal information and elaborates on our Data Protection Notice (which is displayed at the point of any personal or business user registration). However at present we are only collecting non-personal information via our business directory submit form and any other personal information collected is minimal and for communicative and administrative purposes only.

What information do we collect?
When you register as a user and submit your business details, we will collect the information in accordance to the 'UK Data Protection Act 1998' and the 'Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002' and at present we are only collecting non-personal information. The information collected is necessary to provide your organisation with our services and will only include information such as your organisation name, business email addresses, contact details and categories. However once you are registered, you will be provided with an Customer ID Access Password so that you can revisit your profile at any time to amend these details or to provide additional details.
We will also collect information from you if you complete any other forms on our site or if you contact us with comments or specific requests.
We do not pass on your information to other third parties for any reason unless you give us your consent. We do pass your information to the associates of Fynit and Netdaze for the purpose of providing our services, organisational reasons or informing you of new products or services.
We may from time to time send you commercial and latest news updates, details of related products and services or provide general and informative electronic mail from Fynit and Netdaze or their associates to our subscribers, as stated in the Data Protection Notice and this Privacy Policy. However in accordance with the 'Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003, Article 13 parts 1-5' we promise not to bombard you with rubbish and we do not send unsolicited bulk commercial emails (SPAM) from other third parties without your consent.
If you accept the Data Protection Notice and then register by submitting business details and subscribing to Fynit, you give us consent to provide via electronic methods such as electronic mail, commercial and latest news updates, details of related products and services or provide general information on products and services provided by Fynit, Netdaze and their associates, but no other third parties without your consent.
Before you submit details to any other form that we may use on our web sites, we will either have a 'Data Protection Notice' providing the relevant information or an 'opt in' only method for consenting to commercial electronic mail if necessary.
Any electronic method such as electronic mail sent to you or your organisation from Fynit, Netdaze or their associates will always have a method of unsubscribing or contacting the administrators. Back to top
What do we use business information for?
The information collected is necessary to advertise your organisation of your services and will only include information such as your organisation name, business email addresses, contact details and categories. We use this information to allow your business or organisation to join the Fynit business directories and to provide other services which Fynit, Netdaze or our other associates consider relevant to your business or organisation. We do not transfer your business or organisations information that you have provided to us to other third parties without your consent.
Our business database is kept secure at all times and our clients have access to view and change their own information at any time and for free using their allocated Customer ID Access Password.

What do we use Personal information for?
At present we do not collect personal information as part of our business submission form and database. If we do collect personal information at this moment, this will be minimal for administration purposes only and kept secure. If we collect personal information in more detail for other reasons, the reasons will be stated in advance and will only be collected with the clients full consent. Any detailed personal information that we may at present or in the future collect will be collected, used and stored in accordance with the relevant regulations and acts.

Netdaze Weekly Round-up
If you decide you would like to receive our Netdaze News weekly round-up, you will receive this e-mail once per week only. Sometimes this will be sponsored by a third party, so its details may also appear on the email. However, your details will never be given to any such party without your consent.

Contacting you for other purposes
We will contact you about other Netdaze events and services from time to time by email, telephone, fax or other electronic messaging service – but only if you choose to provide these contact details and request that we contact you about events and services by ticking the relevant box in your profile. We may contact you occasionally about our surveys, special offers or competitions; but we will never bombard you with rubbish .
Another box lets Netdaze business partners also contact you. You don't have to tick this box. If you do, please be aware that any such third parties will be carefully selected: we will always be cautious about letting anyone else contact you – so ticking this box does not mean that we would sell your email address to spammers.

Information collected automatically
We automatically collect information about your visit to our site. This information is used to make your visit to our site more efficient, and to help us follow browsing preferences on our site so that we can make regular improvements. Our external web host may also automatically log your IP address, a unique identifier for your computer or other access device.

This means you will not need to use your username and password to access our content when using the computer on which the cookie is stored. However, you will still need to use your username and password to access your profile. The cookie file itself does not store your personal information.
If you do want to delete any cookies that are already on your computer, please refer to the instructions for your file management software to locate the file or directory that stores cookies. You can access them through some types of browser. Our cookies will have filenames ending Netdaze.txt.

Transferring information overseas
Outside the UK, Netdaze at present does not have any other offices. However at sometime in the future It is possible that your details or information collected may be passed to other oversea Netdaze offices or to our associates who have offices outside the UK – but this will only happen where we have informed you by a general announcement and only where we think this may be of benefit to you.

Information requests
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you at any time (for which we may charge a small fee). Your request should be sent by email via the Fynit Enquiry Form with the subject Data Information Request. We will also correct any inaccuracies in your information at your request.
